Are you talking about RTS games? World in Conflict? Supreme Commander? Rise of Nations? Oh, nope, because they all suck on console.
MMO's, maybe? Maybe World of Warcraft, or Lord of the Rings Online? Hell, Toontown? Nope.
FPS games? Usually they are paralleled, only with better graphics on the PC. And seriously, who in their right mind would take an unwieldy analog stick over a precision mouse and keyboard. It's laughable. Controllers are toys. Oh yes, and Crysis. Not that it's an amazing game, but it's graphics are a headshot to consoles everywhere.
And I'm sure your 360 can play all the amazing classic games we've all come to love - Diablo, Unreal Tournament, Command and Conquer: Red Alert, Warcraft/Starcraft, Guild Wars, the original Battlefield series, Quake? - MokeyAUS, on 11/20/2008, -0/+5@ theaverageidiot
I play both console and PC shooters, and while I agree the mouse is far, far better for aiming, consoles have a HUGE advantage when it comes to movement. PC elitists tend to underestimate this, but a thumbstick allows for much easier, smoother and in some cases more accurate motion.
The other thing I see with PC players trying to play console shooters is they go about it wrong. With a console shooter, your aiming isn't as accurate, so you have to use your movement advantage to a far greater extent, and really link how you move and where you aim.
I'd be interested in seeing Xbox vs PC matches on a title such as CoD4, where the game works well on both systems. Halo 2 Vista was too much of a console game, and Shadowrun didn't quite have the skill ceiling needed for a true test. - SquigglyP, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1I've not updated my system yet, but I'm going to bet my left testicle that - like the logo that shows up for every other boot-up - this is not actually a video but a realtime demo. With that in mind, it would not need to store a couple of minutes worth of 1080p video, it would just need to store some textures (maybe, might be generative...) and the audio, which can be pretty small. Someone from the scene could probably hack something like this together in a week or two and you'd end up with an executable and a couple of resource files that in total might weigh at the most maybe 10 MB. There are some extremely impresive demos out there that look just as cool as this - if not better - that weigh less than 1mb.
So I'd guess that this is how this was sent, since downloading a couple hundred mb for perfectly crisp 1080p video and audio is just not going to cut it when the system update probably - hopefully - doesn't even weigh half that much.

Besides, it's only a matter of time before Gears of War 2 arrives on PC. Mass Effect has been on PC. Bioshock was never a 360 exclusive, more than likely Halo 3 will make it's way to PC. So that leaves you with Fable and Star Ocean 4. That are of course "good" exclusives.
PS3 has Resistance, Resistance 2, MGS4, Gran Turismo, Uncharted, FFvXIII, Killzone 2, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, and Little Big Planet. I'm not saying the 360 doesn't have good games, they definitely do. You just need to realize that this isn't 2 years ago. The PS3 has a Good amount of quality games. And that's not even taking into consideration the quality of PSN games like Super Stardust HD, and Wipeout HD. The avatars aren't a rip from Mii's, it is an improvement.
They will actually be used instead of making everyone spend hours making it look like themselves and then only using them in Wii Sports. Instead we will be able to play game shows and hang around in a party looking at our other friends chillin there, and the other 700 billion things that the Xbox team will come up with to make their new feature used. Isn't that what people do with ideas? They improve them, we would have never had half the cool ***** we have today if it wasn't a "rip" off another idea.
